The Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AS UMC lens slots in between the Samyang 35mm and 85mm lenses. The 50mm is a standard focal length prime lens, with fast f1.4 aperture full frame compatibility, and is also suitable for smaller sensor cameras.

The Nikon versions feature AE (Auto Exposure) featuring an electronic circuit which allows for full control of exposure parameters accessible from the Nikon camera, including i-TTL flash communication and EXIF data, compatible with all Nikon Digital SLR cameras.
