The HP Data Vault, based on Microsoft Windows Home Server operating system software, provides an icon-driven, friendly interface for easy installation and management. It connects directly to the router on your network through an RJ45 Ethernet port and supports up to Gigabit Ethernet speeds. It also supports wired and wireless devices via your wireless router. The HP DaTa Vault comes with extra bays for internal storage expansion and also offers external USB and eSATA ports for additional external expansion.
For file sharing needs, the HP Data Vault offers both local file sharing and remote file sharing via a custom URL, which is accessible from any web browser. In addition to providing a complete platform to protect, share and connect, the HP Data Vault also offers a variety of applications for managing and streaming business data. Features such as HP Media Collector, HP Photo Publisher, HP Photo Viewer and others allow you to automatically catalog and share your business data with co-workers and business partners.
