The ergonomically designed MB-16 provides an improved grip that makes shooting vertical-format pictures much more comfortable, and also converts the power source to four AA batteries. The MB-16's quick-change MS-16 battery clip easily slides in and out for fast change and accommodates four AA-type alkaline, lithium or Ni-MH batteries.

The MB-16 connects to the tripod socket on the F80 base and it accepts four 1.5V LR6 (AA-size alkaline), 1.5V FR6 (AA-size lithium), 1.2V KR-AA (AA-size NiCd) or 1.2V AA-size Ni-MH batteries. This battery pack provides a more consistent performance even at low temperatures by increasing the number of shots per set of batteries.

For Nikon F80 Connected to the tripod socket on the F80 base, it accepts four AA batteries (alkaline, lithium, NiCd or Ni-MH). Increases the number of shots per set of batteries, for more consistent performance even at low temperatures. Has a tripod socket on the bottom of the unit. *Acts as an alternate power source and does not include a second shutter release for vertical work.
