It allows the connection of up to five separate devices into your network. Unlike an Ethernet hub, it won't split your connections. Each device connected to NS815 can tap into the speed up to a gigabit per second. It delivers 10 times faster speed than the fast Ethernet to maximize the performance, making the transfer of large files, such as graphic files and multimedia files instantly. By increasing the speed of your network server and backbone connections, it makes the desktop Gigabit enabled.

Power Savings by Cable Length
NS815 Green verified switches all ports support auto MDI/MDI-X cable detection and is able to detect the length of any Ethernet cable connected to them for adjustment of power usage accordingly. Shorter lengths require less power.
