Utilizing NoiseGard Digital, the user can select one of three modes of noise cancellation optimized for their current environment: ground transportation, long flights and crowded public places. Selecting the appropriate mode will reduce ambient noise- allowing the listener to hear subtle nuances in their music, relax and arrive less fatigued (while eliminating noise competition that could damage hearing).
The ear-canal design blocks ambient noise like an earplug, while the Sennheiser transducer pumps out rich, detailed sound quality with vibrant bass. Then, turn on NoiseGard for even more reduction of ambient noise; a sonic triple-threat.
A travel kit including case and audio adapters is included, and with all Sennheiser ear-canal headphones, a delux fit kit is included to maximize bass performance, comfort and noise isolation.
Mode 1 effective for low-frequency noise in particular (100-400 Hz), such as engine noise from trains, buses or smaller passenger planes.
Mode 2 focuses on cancelling noise in the medium frequency range (400-3,000 Hz), which is caused by most air-conditioning systems in large passenger aircraft and office buildings.
