Berlin, 2048 - The world is on the brink.
Shortage of resources, diseases caused by polluted air and drinking water, excessive crime, war. Governments and corporations promise healing through progress; Drones and humanoid robots are replacing people in the public service, everything is interconnected, surveillance has become ubiquitous.
Richard Nolan is one of the few journalists openly critical of this progress. But only when he wakes up after an explosion in the hospital and realizes that his wife and son have mysteriously disappeared does Richard realize that he and his family are more than observers in the storm of rival solutions between dystopian reality and digital utopia. They are in the middle of its center.
From the family drama, a thriller is developing around a global conspiracy, whose core questions decide the fate of humanity: could a perfect digital utopia in the end be the solution? A virtual paradise, free from material needs and discord? Can a super AI save humanity or, on the contrary, declare it superfluous because it fails to convey the value of humanity?
What should the world look like after the storm? What will remain for humanity?
